SmugMug release notes: June 2024.

What’s New

• We’ve given Smugmug.com a facelift! A new homepage design and a fresh take on our features (look great, earn more, and breathe easy) are here to help new photographers find their way to the best business building tools around. Tell your friends! 
• We’re continuing to beef up support of our new UltraCamp partnership with help pages around customizing your camp’s photo site.
• Version 4.8.7 of the SmugMug Android app got some handy updates, including:
  • A new ‘retry failed uploads’ button.
  • Filename and image size info were added to the upload queue to match our web and iOS platforms.

What’s Changed

• Version 4.11.8 of the SmugMug iOS app includes:
  • Better handling of menu overflow actions in offline mode.
  • Updated clarification to help text when creating a private gallery or folder.
• We removed the “slideshow” gallery style that was getting a little rusty. 
• Low resolution images now indicate in the customer cart that they’re not suitable for printing, so you aren’t left wondering. 

Bug Fixes

• iOS app:
  • We tackled a top-priority error that was causing some orders to not be placed successfully. Thank you for your patience!
  • Truncated error labels in the upload queue? Not anymore.
  • We fixed a display error in your personal delivery address updates in your account settings. Phew! 
• Android app:
  • Coming soon in release 4.8.8.2: a fix for the auto upload duplicates experience!
  • We fixed a small issue where shipping was’t being covered by a coupon when it should have been. Check and check.
• Windows uploader:
  • For you folks with extra-long folder names (32+ characters), watched folders are back on track. 
• Web:
  • Trial users: you can update your user profiles again! Apologies for the holdup.
  • We streamlined the creation of your first watermark–no more pesky bugs. 
  • When trying to comment on a photo, you’ll no longer receive the ‘app not setup’ message when using Facebook to log in and comment. 
  • Some customers were receiving past-due emails in error–this has been fixed.
  • Some Pro order emails were not being sent or were arriving late. Now you should be back on the ball and able to track your sales as they roll in.
  • We fixed an issue with the pinned header showing over contact forms so there’s no more overlap.
